History

History of Company

1980
The family Bannert creates the basis for the today’s company within the area of the entertainment electronics, as dealer of the company Sony-Wega-Service.
1982/3
The company takes the representation for JVC, ATARI and Solara. Mr. Bannert develops a PPS system for the solution of internal logistic problems on NCR hardware. This PPS product is marked later in the market under the name Caddy-PPS, ELPRO-PPS, ECV-PPS, Project III and by the following OEM’s: DAT AG, Ziegler Instruments, Emexco, Si-tronik and et. al.
There are selling partnerships to Siemens AG, HP, SE-Panafakum-Televideo, Compaq, Microsoft, Calcomp, Humans and Machine, ComputerVision, Brother, NCR and Nixdorf.
1985
The company decides also to sale the following foreign software products:
AUTOCAD® of Autodesk, ELTIME® of HOS, Personal Designer 3D-CAD of ComputerVision.
1986/87
Mr. Bannert begins with the development of his own CAE/CAD System for the special area “electrical engineering”. The market and customer expertise lead to this system concept.
The selv-developed CAD core touches down into the system architecture. The CAE area of the system offers on-line functionality to the user data base. The development of this application is accomplished in “C”, later in “Visual C++”, today in “DotNet”. The overall system is a completely own development.
1990
The first DOS version’s form of this development is marketed under the product name ESP-90 since January 1990.
1994

Mr. Bannert sets the starting shot for the development of a complete new CAE system technology for Window 32-bit, but still compatible to the existing ESP-System.

1996/97
ESP32WIN an innovative new development of ESP GmbH is presented to the professional world at the trade fair in Dortmund (Germany). ESP32WIN is the first pure 32-bit CAE/CAD windows system, which does not need any generation and evaluation runs as real time solution (technically converted by multi threading).
2000-2005

The detail’s functionality of the connection diagram is developed during this period. The development of its own CNC module starts in 2003. In agreement with the advancement of the ms system world and, as well as, introduction of the 64 bit generation the product name is changed from ESP32WIN into ESplan.

2003
The development of a 3D electro mechanical module (Espace) can begin by extension of the research and development department of ESP GmbH.
2005

ESplan offers an integrated electrical engineering/electro mechanics 3D/2D CAE system family which makes it possible to run from the circuit diagram documentation over 3D electro mechanic, to creating prototyping with cable routing manufacturing data and export them in standard formats for further processing.

The ESplan CNC module in connection with own electronics (bahn control and engine driver electronics) at present permits to convert directly 2,5 D drawings into motor driving functions. (4 axes interpolating)

It is planned to develop a G data mail processor for the control from standard CNC machines.

2006

With the introduction of Microsoft® Vista® ESplan is the first CAE system capable of using the operating system either with 32 or 64-bit-technology. First contacts and presentations in China.

2007

ESplan captures the world: after installations in nearly every country in Europe, ESplan is now also used in the USA, China and Australia.

2008

ESplan is growing with its worldwide operating customers, first installations in Dubai are followed by South Africa, Mexico and Brazil. A worldwide operating enterprise as a leading manufacturer of plant automation and international market leader in process automation declares ESplan as the worldwide planning standard.

The internal development tool Eautomater is growing with new individual projects and software developments for the continuous and comprehensive planning in general industrial engineering.

ESplan version 14.8.42 uses the full possibilities of multi core processed hardware.

2009

Espace: New algorithm is implemented into the routing processes.

All programs have been smoothly adapted to the beta version of the all new Windows 7.

New ESplan R15: To the end of the year 2010 ESplan R15 was launched. With a new graphical desktop in the most modern design ESplan appears with extended functions in Microsoft "Look and Feel" standard.

2010

The company is 100% in the possession of the family Bannert.
